A moving tribute

“For the rest of my life, at every down moment, I will seek to remember this beautiful woman, and I hope you will too.”

— President Bill Clinton speaking of Zhao Chun Li (Angel), China Disability Advocate.

Please see President Clinton honoring Angel on stage and his support for the revolution she is helping to lead at 1:34 of his Closing remarks at the Clinton Global Initiative Conference today, Sept. 25th.

  1. Chun Li and Kathy

What a magical and beautiful story. Just think, this journey began just a short time ago, and yet, just about all of your dreams have been met. One left…the dream of a school in China for students with disabilities. Both of you are phenonminal women who truly have and will continue to make this world a better place for many.

Many thanks from all of us whose lives you have touched in one way or another.

  2. We spent at week at Yangsho Mountain Retreat a few years ago, and got to know Angel and everyone at the YMT. It was a moving and wonderful experience to witness Angel’s spirit and positive attitude. All the staff at the YMT were more than delightful. Angel is on of the most remarkable people I’ve ever met. I talked to her every morning, and always was delighted to chat with her. She arranged for us to go to her village and meet her father and see her home there. It was a wonderful day of new adventure, new friends, and cultural opportunity to learn more about life in a small village. I have read Angel’s commentary about her meeting with Bill Clinton, and her visiting Minnesota – all of these experiences surely contributed to enriching Angel’s life. I applaud her determination and spirit.
